It’s human nature to want to take giant leaps forward. We all dream of swinging for the fences and hitting home runs and, small bunts and singles can feel boring by comparison. But one lesson we're working to embrace is the power of compounding growth.

Steady progress can sometimes result in the giant leaps that we all want. It’s not magic - it’s math.

Big Ideas vs. Small Wins

As founders, we dream big - we have to! We're supposed to be "changing the world." However…

• Big ideas are hard to build. They take time, resources, and a lot of failing to build.

• Big ideas are risky. There’s always a chance you'll keep failing.

• Big ideas are rare. Truly groundbreaking ideas don’t come around every day.

That’s why, at ROGER, we strive to balance big ideas with small, daily 1% improvements. This week’s feature releases may not seem groundbreaking on their own, but over time, they’ll lead to a vastly better experience - maybe even 38x better.

1% Improvements - 1 at a Time

Last week, we focused on a few of these 1% improvements in ROGER. They’re not flashy, but they’ll make your experience smoother and more reliable. Here’s what we worked on:

1. Email Failure Notifications
   If an email fails to send - whether due to a typo, a full inbox, or because gmail just hates outlook that day - you’ll now see a notification alerting you to the problem. No more wondering if your contract made it to the recipient.

2. Signed Contract Notifications
   Previously, if a signed contract notification failed due to an invalid email address entered by one party, all notifications failed - including for users with valid email addresses. Now, those with valid emails will still receive their notifications, even if another recipient entered an invalid address.

   
   

3. Improved Speed for Super-Users
   Some of our users have signed thousands of contracts with ROGER (seriously 🔥🔥🔥). Displaying all those non-archived contracts on the dashboard was slowing things down. We’ve added pagination so the dashboard now only shows the 100 most recent contracts by default, with the option to load more. This simple change dramatically improves speed for power users.

Building a 38x Better Product

At ROGER, we’re on a mission to build an e-signature experience that’s 38x better than anything out there today. That means working on the big, mind-blowing features that redefine what’s possible but also fixing the little things along the way.

While we know that "bug fixes" aren't flashy, we believe that every bug fix, every optimization and every bit of polish all adds up to a 38x better product and one that our users will love.
