All the Small Things

In sales, personalization is everything. We tailor our emails, we customize our demos, we name-drop their dog from LinkedIn (my dog's name is Dash BTW) - anything to show the customer we get them. And why? Because it works. It builds trust. It closes deals.

But then, after all that effort… the contract shows up. Cold. Generic. “Dear Signer.” No context. No warmth. No personality.

We think that’s a missed opportunity.

The contract signing process is part of your sales process. It’s the final step before the deal is done. So why not give it the same level of care?

Introducing Personalized Welcome Screens

With Roger, you can now use variables to personalize the welcome screen for your signer.

That means instead of a boring intro, you can say:

👋 Hey Alex! Just one more step to make things official.
or
📄 Welcome, Jamie. Here’s your NDA with Acme Corp.

You can pull in the signer’s name, the contract name, or anything else you’ve captured as a contract variable. It’s a small detail - but one that makes the process feel smoother, friendlier, and a whole lot more human.

How to Add Variables

To personalize your welcome screen, you can insert variables directly into the message:

  • Type @ to insert a template variable - these are fields provided by the Sender, like the signer’s name, company name, or any other custom variables you've added.

  • Type # to insert a contract variable - these are built-in variables that are inherent to the contract itself, like #Contract Name, and can’t be edited by the sender.

Need to change how a variable looks? No problem - you can format it just like regular text.

We’re on a mission to remove every tiny bit of friction from contract workflows. Personalized welcome screens are just another step in making the experience feel less like paperwork - and more like progress.

Signing should be easy. ROGER that.
